How We Work

Research first.
Write second.
Revise until right.

Every engagement follows the same sequence. Not because it's easy — because it's the only sequence that produces documents that actually work.

Most career documents are written from assumptions.
Ours are written from evidence.

Before we write a word, we understand the target. The industry, the role, the level, the company — and how decisions get made there. That research becomes the foundation every document is built on. Which is why our documents perform differently than those written from templates.

01
Intake
You tell us your story. We ask the right questions.
Every engagement begins with a structured intake — not a form, a conversation. We need to understand your targets: the role, the level, the company type, and how you want to be perceived. We also need to understand who you are — your career arc, your strongest achievements, the things you're proudest of that aren't yet on your resume.
No document is written until we have answers to four questions: What are you targeting? At what level? Who are you? How do you want to be perceived?
02
Research
We study the world your documents will enter.
Before writing begins, we research the target industry — its structure, pressures, and hiring norms. We study the role at that level — what it demands, what it values, what it screens for. We look at how companies like your targets actually read applications, and what keywords their systems and their hiring managers are searching for.
This step is what separates a document that performs from one that files. Most services skip it entirely.
03
Research Brief
We share what we found. You review before we write.
Before a single line is drafted, we present a research brief — what we found about your target, how we propose to position you, and the narrative arc we recommend. You review it, push back, redirect. This step ensures the document we write is the one you actually need — not our best guess at it.
04
Draft
The document is written. Every word earns its place.
With the research and brief approved, writing begins. Every bullet is built on the XYZ/STAR framework — what you did, how you did it, and what the outcome was — with metrics wherever they exist. No repeated verbs. No scope lines masquerading as achievements. No words that could appear on anyone else's resume.
For LinkedIn, the headline is keyword-researched against what recruiters actually search at your level. The About section is written to welcome, then compel.
05
Revisions
Your voice. Your story. Until it's right.
Every engagement includes revision rounds. If something doesn't sound like you — doesn't match your voice, your level, your personality — we rewrite it. The goal is a document you can hand over with complete confidence. That requires iteration, and we build it into every engagement.
06
Delivery
Clean files. Ready to deploy.
Final documents are delivered in the formats you need — Word, PDF, plain text for ATS submission. If it's a LinkedIn profile, we provide the sections formatted for direct copy-paste into each LinkedIn field. If it's a website, you receive clean, tested HTML/CSS/JS files with no dependencies on platforms you don't control.

What you can hold us to.

Research Before Writing
No document is written until the research is done and the brief is approved. This is not negotiable, and it is not skipped under time pressure.
✍️
Your Voice, Not Ours
Documents are written to sound like the best version of you — not like a template, not like our other clients, and not like something a machine produced.
🔄
Revisions Until Right
Every engagement includes revision rounds. If something isn't right, we rewrite it — until the document you receive is the one you're proud to submit.
